Job Description: Essential Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR management, or other relevant area • Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior manager or director-level HR role in a medium to large organization • Self-directed leader with prior experience managing a full-service HR department • Expertise in legal compliance at Federal, State, and local levels • Demonstrated strong communication skills (oral and written), especially in sensitive situations • Highly organized person who thrives in a very fast-paced environment. The Role: Developing and implementing HR strategies to support the Gila Bend Unified District’s mission and vision. This position prioritizes creating and maintaining strong working relationships, and delivering timely and effective customer service. Responsible for directing the strategic and day-to-day functions and activities of the HR department to include, but not limited to: hiring, employment, benefit administration, conflict resolution, substitute management, certification & licensing, performance management, training, compensation management, and budgeting.
Contracted Administrative position, reports to the Superintendent. The Director of HR is a member of the District’s Leadership Team. The salary range is $50,000 - $60,000 with a competitive fringe benefits package and 100% matching retirement contribution. Medical, dental, and vision is offered for the employee only. Participating member of the Arizona State Retirement System. Remote or part-time candidates will not be considered.
