Summary/Objective: To provide speech and language services to students with disabilities under the direction and supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Work Environment: This job operates in a school environment. Employee will work ten hours per day Monday through Thursday during core school hours. Required Education and Experience: -High school diploma or equivalent -Completion of an approved training program or the equivalent from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university consisting of a minimum of 60 semester credit hours of general education and speech-language pathology technical coursework and a minimum of 100 clock hours of clinical interaction under the supervision of a licensed master's level speech-language pathologist Preferred Education and Experience: Experience working with students or children. Required Certifications/Licenses: Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant license through the Arizona Department of Health Services Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Kingman is located in northwestern Arizona in the Hualapai Valley between the Cerbat and Hualapai Mountain ranges. Kingman is known as “The Heart of Historic Route 66” and is ideally situated between Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and the Grand Canyon. KUSD’s 2019-2020 school year for students begins July 24, 2019, and ends May 21, 2020.
