Job Description:
Youth Development Institute is a private, not-for-profit corporation that provides rehabilitation and treatment services for troubled youth and their families. At our 9-acre campus in Central Phoenix, YDI provides a full-range of education, life skills, rehabilitation and intensive treatment services including academic programming, family, and group, and individual counseling, therapeutic recreation. YDI has a full academic program designed to remediate deficiencies and maintain student’s academic progress to transition back in to traditional school to continue their education. Our private school is approved by the Arizona Department of Education as a Special Function School and offers both regular (non-special education) and special education for all grades. ADE has approved provision of special education services for the following handicapping conditions: Autism, Emotional Disability, Mild Mental Retardation, Specific Learning Disability and Traumatic Brain Injury. Our school is accredited by AdvancED and issues high school credits and graduates students with high school diplomas.

Currently, we are looking for an Arizona Certified Special Education teacher with experience teaching at-risk students. Priority given to cross-categorical certification and ability to teach multiple subjects. The position is full-time (year-round), Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4 pm.
