Job Description:
We are a small learning community with multi-age learning studios. We are currently looking for a strong early childhood guide for our primary studio (4-6 year olds). The guide could start immediately and play a major role in helping to shape a truly unique and forward thinking learning environment that helps students find joy in learning and grow their curiosity. An ideal guide is excited about the transition to independent and self-paced learning in the education system. You are ready to be a part of a change within the traditional education model. You may have had experience with Montessori principles and are ready to apply what you have learned to help implement a hands-on, joy filled learning community.

R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S … You will use what you know of best practices in early childhood to prepare students to enter the Elementary Studio at Acton Academy Phoenix. This is a pivotal role—your contributions will help shape children's lives. For this reason, the ideal candidate will have a true desire to grow and be on a journey with the students 4 to 6 years old. We maintain the highest standards of quality care and believe strongly in developing a unique learning environment and focus on authentically developing character. Oversee and develop/adopt curriculum and resources for students, incorporating Montessori and Acton resources. You will take initiative and be responsive to student needs You will be creative with activities and foster joy among students You will come up with systems and methods to best track mastery and effort (such as points and badges). You will be responsible for developing and introducing themes that happen in the studio.
