The United School for Autism is a new nonprofit private school committed to providing a challenging academic opportunity for all students with autism and related disorders. We are currently seeking dynamic teachers for our K-1, 2-3 and 4-5 classrooms. As a new school, we invite you to become a part of our innovative approach to special education. Master’s Degree in special education or related field; Valid Arizona teaching certificate in Special Education: Mild/Moderate Disabilities; Valid State of Arizona “IVP” Fingerprint Clearance Card Possess a strong belief that all students can succeed; Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques; Must be able to complete training in CPR, First Aid and nonviolent Crisis Prevention & Intervention training (CPI); Must be able to physically restrain a student utilizing one of the CPI holds; must be able to run after students who are at risk of fleeing from a safe location.
