Job Description:

Possess deep functional knowledge of learning management systems, education technologies and instructional design standards based in scientific educational technology research.

Work closely with department leadership on adopting and implementing engaging instructional technology solutions that enhance the teaching and learning experiences for multi-modal/purpose course offerings based on interpretation of student data.

Provide guidance in planning, coordinating, troubleshooting, and maintaining learning tools/technology to optimize efficiencies, stability, and user experience.

Manage vendor relationships of adopted/integrated learning tools/technologies.

Act as point of contact for managing Student Information System (PowerSchool)

Collaborate directly with the Learning Management (LMS) team on integration of identified learning tools/technology.

Collaborate directly with District Leadership on the evaluation of potential learning tools/technologies being considered for adoption/integration.

Keep the team apprised of advancements in adopted/integrated learning technologies.

Works closely with learning technology vendors to vet and test product upgrades, Makes recommendations for improvements and upgrades when necessary, according to the needs of the district.

Take appropriate action to identify, investigate, and resolve user issues quickly and understand when best to escalate them due to their potential impact.

Collaborate and coordinate with other District staff to plan, design, and deliver training for users who have varying levels of comfort and experience with adopted learning technologies.

Plan, design, develop, and evaluate engaging interactive learning/training objects for multiple learning modalities.

Maintain both professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and pursuing related professional development opportunities.

Maintains awareness of best practices, emerging technologies, and new opportunities in educational technology that may be adopted.

Analyzes instructional technology needs and designs interactive learning products in multiple modalities to support instructional pedagogy goals.

Works within established instructional design processes and design/development standards.

Strong communication skills for collaboration across all business and functional areas.

Participate in special projects and perform other duties, as assigned.

Experience managing course development project assignments, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time.

Develop and/or maintain online web-based resources such as tutorials, reference material, content resources, and tools for instructional development.

Interprets and implements provisions of state education codes and rules and regulations of State Board of Education.
