Job Description:

Joseph City Unified School District No. 2 is hiring a full-time Title I Reading Specialist for Joseph City Elementary School, a small rural school in Navajo County on I-40 between Holbrook and Winslow. Joseph City Elementary is a schoolwide Title I school.

About the position

Lead reading intervention for elementary students who need extra support. Assess students, plan and deliver small-group and individual reading instruction grounded in the science of reading, and monitor progress. Coach and support classroom teachers in reading and math instruction, and work with the principal on the school's Title I program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Arizona teaching certificate, or eligibility for one. Teachers certified in another state may qualify for an Arizona certificate through reciprocity.
• Reading Specialist or Reading endorsement preferred
• Experience teaching early reading preferred
• Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card, or eligibility to obtain one

Start date: As soon as possible
Salary: Per the district's certified salary schedule, with benefits
