Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the ELD Coordinator, performs work of moderate difficulty providing content area support to English Language Learners. Assists ELD classroom teacher with instructional support; maintains files at school sites; trains for and administers Arizona's English Language Learner Assessment (AZELLA).

Hiring Pay Range: $17.09 – $18.14 per hour, DOE

FTE .75, 30 hours per week

Schedule: Hours split between TWO school locations

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; must be fluent in English; one year experience teaching English as a Second Language to children and/or adolescents preferred; effective written and spoken communication skills (i.e., the ability to relate well with children, school staff, and parents) are a necessity.

Special Requirements: Valid Arizona Driver’s license and clear driving record; must possess or have the ability to obtain Level I-IVPP Fingerprint Clearance card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety; CPR certificate and First Aid certificate are required within one (1) year of hire.
