Job Description:

Altar Valley School District is a PK–8th grade school of approximately 380 students. Located just southwest of Tucson, Arizona—approximately 10 miles west of Ryan Airfield and 25 miles from Kitt Peak National Observatory and 25 miles from down town Tucson—the Altar Valley School District offers staff the unique opportunity to work in small, student-centered schools within a supportive, rural community. AVSD is a two-school district: Robles Elementary serves PK–5th grade, and Altar Valley Middle School serves 6th–8th grade students.

Both of our district's schools effectively support high percentages of at-risk students through a variety of programs beyond standardized test success, offering rich extracurricular opportunities that serve our students, families, and the broader community. All district and site-based decisions are made with the best interests of our students at heart.

Our staff is a welcoming mix of local residents and Tucson commuters. Our close proximity to the city allows employees to enjoy the benefits of Tucson—including access to the University of Arizona—while working in a close-knit community with a true small-town feel.

If you are a collaborative team player looking for a progressive district where your ideas are valued, Robles Elementary might be the perfect fit for you!
