Country Gardens Charter School – Arizona

Country Gardens Charter School is seeking a caring, dependable, and qualified Part-Time Occupational Therapist to join our elementary school team.

The occupational therapist will provide school-based services to students with disabilities, helping them develop the fine motor, sensory-processing, visual-motor, self-regulation, and functional skills needed to participate successfully in the educational environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group occupational therapy services
• Implement occupational therapy goals identified in students’ IEPs
• Conduct evaluations and assist with determining students’ educational needs
• Develop treatment plans and recommend appropriate supports, strategies, and accommodations
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate service and progress documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of student goals
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, administrators, and related-service providers
• Provide consultation and strategies that can be used in the classroom and school environment
• Assist with adaptive equipment, sensory supports, fine-motor development, handwriting, and functional school skills
• Maintain compliance with applicable special education requirements and professional standards

Qualifications

• Current Arizona license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• School-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred
• Knowledge of IEPs, special education procedures, evaluations, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• A patient, compassionate, and student-centered approach
• Ability to obtain or maintain any required Arizona school employment clearances

Schedule

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. Specific days and hours may be arranged based on student service needs and the availability of the selected candidate.

Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
