Job Description:

Duties:    Teach English to high school students according to school and District policies and State standards. Develop lessons and assessments which incorporate the State standards and approved District curriculum. Maintain student attendance and academic records. Monitor student academic performance, evaluate student learning according to District and State metrics, and provide feedback to improve learning. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Communicate with various stakeholders regarding student academic progress and behavior. Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required.

Requirements:    Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related. Possess valid Arizona Department of Education teacher certification and Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
