Position Summary
George Gervin Prep Academy is seeking a passionate, data-driven Middle School Math Teacher committed to accelerating student achievement and ensuring every scholar develops the mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills needed for future success. The ideal candidate believes all students can achieve at high levels through rigorous instruction, strong relationships, and high expectations.
The Middle School Math Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction, using student data to drive instructional decisions, maintaining a structured classroom environment, and contributing to a collaborative professional learning community.

Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of middle school mathematics content and instructional best practices.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to high expectations, equity, and student achievement.
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and obtain a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Ability to meet Arizona Charter School employment requirements.
Preferred
- Valid Arizona Secondary or Elementary Teaching Certificate with an approved Mathematics endorsement or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Previous experience teaching middle school mathematics.
- Experience implementing standards-based instruction and using assessment data to drive instruction.
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including English Learners and students with disabilities.
