Western Valley Middle School is looking for an exceptional Grade 7 Math Teacher who believes every student is capable of mathematical excellence when challenged, supported, and inspired.

Seventh grade is where confidence becomes capability. Students arrive ready to tackle more complex mathematical thinking, deepen their problem-solving skills, and begin making connections that prepare them for algebra and advanced coursework. As their teacher, you'll help students discover that mathematics is more than finding the right answer. It's about reasoning, perseverance, collaboration, and believing they can solve problems they once thought impossible.

As our Grade 7 Math Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging, student-centered mathematics instruction aligned to Arizona standards.
• Build a classroom culture where curiosity, perseverance, and productive struggle are celebrated.
• Use formative assessment and data to drive instruction and provide targeted intervention.
• Collaborate with an outstanding seventh-grade team committed to continuous improvement.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including multilingual learners and students receiving special education services.
• Build strong partnerships with families through consistent communication and celebration of student growth.
• Participate in meaningful professional learning that directly supports classroom success.
• Help create a school where students feel challenged, supported, and empowered every day.

Qualifications:

• Valid Arizona teaching certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics and effective instructional practices.

• Growth mindset and willingness to contribute to a positive school culture.
