TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 months
REPORTS TO: Principal or CTE Director
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers the curriculum guides of the District as based on state-adopted standards.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials based on district curriculum guides,
standards, and expectations; includes emergency plans in the case of absence and/or
illness.
- Establishes and communicates well-defined objectives for each lesson, including relevant projects and activities.
- Translates lesson plans into learning experiences that reflect research-based instructional strategies, including inquiries, group discussion, lectures, discovery, etc. and addresses the individual needs, interests, abilities, and maturity levels of the students.
- Communicates and plans with other members of the staff in the delivery of meaningful instruction for shared students who participate in other programs such as special education programs, CTE, ELL, etc.
- Assess student performance through practical projects, written exams, quizzes, and
observations. Offer regular feedback to students to help them develop both technical skills and professional work habits.
- Exposes students to career opportunities in the sports medicine and rehabilitation industry. Encourage student participation in interships, apprenticeships, and job shadowing opportunities with local industry partners.
- Provides individualized support to students, offering guidance on career pathways, academic success, and skill development.
- Serves on school and district committees as requested.
- Maintains a safe, organized, and productive classroom and workshop enviornment. Enforce safety procedures and ensure that students are aware of and adhere to all safety regulations while using tools and equipment.
- Participates in professional development activities to enhance professional skills and maintain Arizona certification & CTE Endorsement.
- Enforces and follows the school and district approved discipline plan.
- Accounts and maintains inventory for classroom, school and district property as required.
- Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to discuss student educational needs and progress.
- Facilitates expertise in the use of industry-related software, technology, and/or equipment.
- Works with the CTE Director to meet quarterly evidence-based deadlines for both local, state, and federal expectations for CTE.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Arizona Teacher Certificate with requirement endorsement or Valid AZ CTE Teaching Certificate
- Industry Related certification (preferred)
- Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Salary: BA (Entry Level) $52,447 -$56,252
MA (Entry Level) $56,212-$60,017
