Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in English, Education, Special Education, related field.
2. Arizona teaching certification in English, Secondary Education, Special Education, or related area.

Responsibilities:

• To provide meaningful English Language ARts instruction in a supportive secondary school environment.  To be able to meet students where they are academically, emotionally, and socially while helping them build essential reading, writitng, conmmunication, critical thinkingt, and life  ready literacy skills.
• Maintain a systematic plan for organization and presentation of daily teachingt assignments.
  • Lesson plans and outlines are necessary to assure full use of available materials, both from text and supplementary sources.
  • Lesson plans must be available at all times for use by substitutes and for reference by other teachers, department heads and administrators.
  • Assure student utilization of prescribed textbooks.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction.
  • Use proactive classroom management strategies that support emotional regulation, engagement, and student accountability.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and collaborative planning.

Salary:  BA (Entry Level) $52,447 -$56,252

            MA (Entry Level) $56,212-$60,017
