Job Description:

Worksite: Tuba City Unified School District Office; 12 month contract.

Tasks:  

• Contributes to the development of a comprehensive District philosophy of education
• Provides leadership in establishing new programs and developing improved understanding of existing programs.
• Interprets the objectives and programs of the special education program to the Board, the administration, the staff and the public at large. Assumes primary leadership roles in articulating and improving services for disabled students.
• Maintains and directs the testing and evaluation procedures and programs of the school psychologists, assuring that such programs are conducted within the guildelines of the district policy and use generally accepted and professional criteria and techniques

Requirements:

• Master's degree; hold a Special Education Supervisor's Certificate issued by the Arizona Department of Education.
• Verify three (3) years successful experience as a classroom teacher in grades K-12.
