Job Title: Chief of Schools

 Classification: Administrative

Salary:  $132,262.11- $156,145.85

Description: The Chief of Schools provides support services to the administrators and staff in the areas of curriculum and instruction and advises the superintendent on all matters dealing with testing, instructional programs, curriculum, textbooks, etc.  He/she assist schools and teachers in conducting State and District assessments and aids in analyzing assessment data to improve instruction and increase student achievement.  He/she supervises the Academic Services, Early Childhood and Student Services Departments.  The Chief of Schools also supervises the Teacher Mentor Program for all first and second year teachers in the district.  May act on behalf of the Superintendent when he/she is absent from the district or is unavailable when an emergency arises.
