QUALIFICATIONS:
Arizona Teacher Certification with special education endorsements as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish learning objectives which reflect the current district guidelines and objectives.
Determine appropriate program of study to meet specific needs of students.
Provide instruction based on established grade level objectives and individual student needs within individual education plans (IEPs).
Motivate students to maximize their learning potential and ensure that all students have successful experiences.
Maintain high expectations for all students.
Maintain positive effective classroom management procedures in compliance with school and district guidelines.
Manage caseload, maintaining appropriate student records and documentation.
Communicate effectively and consistently with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
Adhere to all Board policies and/or rules, Arizona Revised Statutes, and federal regulations pertaining to education.
Attend staff and inservice meetings, workshops, and school functions as directed.
Demonstrate knowledge of subject(s) taught.
Work with principal and Director of Student Services to identify the educational and/or physical needs of students.
Develop an Individual Education Program (IEP) for each student, ensuring that it reflects the latest psychological evaluation, current present levels of performance reflected from instructional data, and provide instruction according to each student’s IEP.
Collaborate with all teachers to ensure the successful mainstreaming of special education students.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This is an in-person position.
SALARY: Nine-month year, teachers’ salary schedule, and employee benefits in accordance with Board policies.
