Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate 3rd/4th grade combination Teacher to inspire young learners in our elementary classrooms. This paid position offers the opportunity to shape the educational journey of children, fostering their literacy, numeracy, social skills, and overall development through engaging lessons and supportive mentorship. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for teaching, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to nurturing each child's potential. One of the benefits of the school is that the curriculum is prepared and organized by weekly folders. Mentoring is also provided by an experienced teacher.

Requirements

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies
  • Create a positive classroom environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; teaching certification for primary grades preferred (however, a substitute teaching certificate could be accepted.
  • Proven classroom experience working with children in elementary settings
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management strategies
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment tools
  • Familiarity with learning technology platforms and library services to support student learning
  • Ability to work effectively with students with diverse needs, including those with autism or requiring early intervention services
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families effectively
  • Willingness to take Spalding or Fun with Phonograms reading instructions class
