This position oversees the district's financial, operational, and administrative
services, including budget development, auditing, procurement, and compliance with the Arizona Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR). Acting as the chief financial officer reporting to the Superintendent, they ensure fiscal stability, manage school facilities and transportation, and oversee payroll/employee benefits.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Financial Management: Develops, implements, and monitors the annual budget,manages
district funds (bond/grants), and performs financial analyses.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensures compliance with Arizona Revised Statutes andthe USFR;
prepares reports for the Board and state agencies.
Operational Oversight: Manages purchasing, contracts, payroll, and oftensupervises food
services and transportation.
Administration: Works with the Superintendent to recommend employee benefits and
salaries.
Qualifications:
Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting is preferred.
Experience in public school or governmental accounting is preferred.
Expertise in school finance, accounting software, and auditing processes is preferred.
