Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological growth. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with Marana Unified School District policies. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and deliver standards-based lesson plans aligned with curriculum and student needs.
• Assess student performance and use data to modify instruction and support achievement.
• Create and maintain a positive, safe, and organized learning environment using effective classroom management.
• Implement differentiated and developmentally appropriate instructional strategies to engage and motivate students.
• Prepare instructional materials, maintain records, and document student progress, attendance, and performance.
• Integrate technology and meaningful curriculum connections to enhance student learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, evaluation methods, and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with instructional teams, specialists, school personnel, and community agencies to support student success.
• Supervise and direct teacher assistants, volunteers, and student workers to support classroom operations.
• Participate in professional meetings, comply with district policies and reporting requirements, and perform related duties as assigned.

 
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

·         Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university

·         Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

·         Arizona Standard or Alternative Special Education Teaching Certificate

Salary:
$51,050.87 - $55,773.03 (based on current hiring schedule)

$6,000 Hard to Fill Stipend

***9 Month Contracted Regular Position
