Job Summary

Information Technology Services (ITS) at MCCCD is seeking a PeopleSoft ERP Security Administrator Senior to play a pivotal role in safeguarding and shaping the technology that supports one of the largest community college systems in the nation. This position will support and harden security for the PeopleSoft suite—Human Capital Management (HCM), Campus Solutions (SIS), and Financial Management System (FMS)—and drive integrations with a modern Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform, SailPoint. Collaborating with PeopleSoft security professionals and a forward-thinking IAM team, this role will ensure secure, seamless, and innovative access to critical systems used by students, faculty, and staff.

Essential Functions

20% - Identifies, oversees, and maintains security module and application access needs. Designs roles and permissions to ensure secure and authorized system access across all PeopleSoft environments (production and development) that is in line with the overall ERP security strategy in place, while providing excellent user support and customer service.

20% - Plans, analyzes, develops, coordinates and implements complex information system security activities daily, including upgrades, conversion projects, modification projects and activities for PeopleSoft security module in all PeopleSoft environments (production and development).

20% - Assists in the development of security strategy, architecture, and policies related to PeopleSoft security module by providing functional and technical expertise.

20% - Researches and resolves highly complex and escalated issues, problems, and abnormalities related to PeopleSoft security, while providing excellent customer service daily. Monitors applicable policies, regulations, and industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies to develop resolutions and make recommendations for implementation.

10% - Collaborates with application development, business analysts, project managers, committees, functional teams, and leadership to design, develop, support, and improve the security model, while providing consultation and technical assistance.

10% - Creates and maintains system documentation, including security design, development, and maintenance. Educates and trains staff and users on the PeopleSoft security module and performs related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology, information security, computer science, cybersecurity, network security, or a related field and three (3) years of technical experience in the support of networks, systems and technology security.

An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or certifications sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Technical certifications may be used towards the substitution of the above-mentioned requirements for education and/or experience. Substitution amounts for certifications are based on the duration of time it takes to obtain the certification, the difficulty to obtain the certification, and/or the desirability of the certification as related to the business needs of the assignment.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience administering security module in Peoplesoft ERP systems (Campus Solutions, HCM, FMS).

• Experience writing and maintaining security documentation.

• Experience working within a ticketing system to resolve issues..

• Experience leading PeopleSoft upgrade projects.

Special Working Conditions

There is a mandatory minimum in-office expectation, currently two days onsite, in which the District reserves the right to update at any time.

The selected candidate will need to reside in the Phoenix area or relocate within six months of hire.

This role may involve after hours work and non-regular business hours.

May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor.

May be required to present in large meetings and sponsored events.
