Job Description:
• Manages 5th-8th grade teachers, students and families
• Sultan Virtual Academy Director
• Assists the Principals in the overall administration of the school. Serves as the principal in the absence of the regular principal
• Supervision - Assist with instructional leadership, including curriculum implementation, classroom observations, and teacher support as assigned by the principal
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment
• Support student discipline using developmentally appropriate practices
• Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance
• Assist with scheduling, supervision, and daily school operations assigned by the principal
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to improve student outcomes
• Engage families and the school community as partners in education
• Support compliance with district, state, and federal policies
• Prepares, or supervises the preparation of reports, records, lists and all other paperwork required or appropriate to the school’s administration
• Good work habits
• Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive school culture
• Support student social-emotional development and well-being
• Oversee student behavior management in alignment with school policies
• Address disciplinary matters using appropriate practices
• Mediate student conflicts and support problem-solving and accountability
• Support attendance monitoring and follow-up
• Assist with student orientation, transitions, and student leadership initiatives
• Partner with faculty to maintain consistent expectations and classroom culture
Serves as Testing Coordinator
• Coordinate all standardized testing (state, national, and school-based assessments)
• Ensure compliance with testing regulations, accommodations, and security protocols
• Manage testing calendars, logistics, materials, and room assignments
• Train and support faculty and staff serving as test administrators or proctors
• Maintain accurate testing records and student data
• Communicate testing schedules and expectations to students, families, and staff
• Collaborate with administrators to analyze assessment data and support instructional planning
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field
• Valid Arizona Administrative/Principal Certification (or eligibility)
• Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior administrative or leadership experience
• Experience with data-driven instruction and school improvement planning
• Knowledge of restorative practices and social-emotional learning
