Job Description:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: 

●        Must have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. 

●        Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card for educators through The Arizona Department of Education

●        Must meet all ESSA (Highly Qualified) qualifications.

●        Master’s degree or higher. 

●        Must have a valid Arizona Administrative Certificate.

●        Minimum of five years teaching experience.

●        Prior experience required.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Instructional Leadership

●        Support implementation of Arizona Academic Standards and district curriculum

●        Assist with classroom observations and teacher evaluations aligned with Arizona’s educator effectiveness frameworks

●        Use student performance data (e.g., Arizona Academic Standards Assessment) to guide instructional decisions and interventions

●        Support Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks

Student Management & Discipline

●        Enforce district policies and Arizona laws related to student discipline and due process

●        Implement restorative practices and positive behavior interventions (PBIS)

●        Monitor student attendance in compliance with Arizona compulsory attendance laws

●        Collaborate with counselors and support staff on student behavior and intervention plans

Staff Supervision & Support

●        Assist in the supervision and evaluation of certified and classified staff in accordance with Arizona statutes and district policy

●        Support professional development aligned with school improvement goals

●        Promote a collaborative professional learning community (PLC) culture

School Operations

●        Assist with master scheduling and daily school operations

●        Coordinate state testing administration, including AASA and other required assessments

●        Ensure compliance with state reporting requirements and federal programs (e.g., Title I, ESSA)

●        Support site-level budgeting and resource management

School Climate & Family Engagement

●        Foster a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment

●        Promote family and community engagement consistent with Arizona school expectations

●        Address parent and community concerns in a timely and professional manner

●        Support student activities, athletics, and extracurricular programs

Safety & Compliance

●        Assist in implementing school safety plans in alignment with Arizona school safety requirements

●        Respond to emergencies and student incidents in accordance with district protocols

●        Ensure compliance with child welfare laws, including mandatory reporting requirements

 

SKILLS are required to perform multiple technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job.

KNOWLEDGE is required to read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge is required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job.

 

ABILITY is required to gather, collate, and/or classify data; and consider a wide variety of factors. Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with a variety of data; and utilize a variety of types of job-related equipment. In working with others, problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans.  Problem solving with data requires analysis based on organizational objectives; and problem solving with equipment is significant. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse groups; meeting deadlines & schedules; setting priorities; working as part of a team; and working with constant & sustained interruptions.
