Job Description:

BASIS Ed is seeking an IT Operations Coordinator to join its growing IT team!

The IT Operations Coordinator is responsible for procuring IT hardware and software as well as managing external IT vendors. This role works closely with the IT management team to identify needed upgrades and improvements to existing technology.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follow internal procurement procedures to acquire necessary technology to fulfill school’s needs as well as improve safety and security.
  • Create and manage purchase orders from quoting to asset tracking.
  • Manage external vendors including VARs, ISP Providers and Low Voltage for schools as well as the central office.
  • Manage software licensing agreements.
  • Manage external support agreement.
  • Work closely with IT Leaders to determine best hardware and software solutions.
  • Manage IT Capital Expenditure budgets.
  • Research newest technologies that can streamline IT technology needs.
  • Work closely with the growth team to determine and purchase technology for our new schools.

Education and Experience:

At least 2+ years IT experience. Knowledge of personal computers and PC application and development software desired.

  • High degree of knowledge of IT infrastructure and server technology
  • High degree of knowledge with routers, switches, firewalls and many other network devices
