Phoenix Elementary School District #1 is seeking passionate Special Education Teachers (Resource/Inclusion and Self-contained) who believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed. In this role, you will help create an inclusive learning environment where students with diverse learning needs receive the support, instruction, and encouragement necessary to reach their full potential.
You will collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, families, and support staff to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that empower students to learn and grow in the least restrictive environment.
What You’ll Do
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and state and federal guidelines
Provide differentiated instruction and specialized strategies to support diverse learners
Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
Monitor and assess student progress to inform instruction and support student growth
Facilitate compliant IEP meetings and maintain required documentation
Utilize assistive technology and specialized instructional tools to enhance learning
Train and supervise paraprofessionals and support staff
Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
Valid Arizona Special Education Certificate issued by the Arizona Department of Education (ADE)
