Job Description:

Exempt; Salary: Based on Experience

12 Months

This position serves as the Chief Communications Officer, Brand Strategist, and Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Catalina Foothills School District. This leadership position is responsible for the district’s communications, marketing, media relations, crisis communications, and community engagement efforts. The Director shapes and protects the district’s brand, strengthens stakeholder trust, drives enrollment, and ensures clear, timely, and strategic communication across all platforms.

Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, educational leadership, or related field; demonstrated success leading integrated communications campaigns with measurable results.  

Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field; minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism; experience in K-12 education or public sector communications.

Target Start Date: June 15, 2026
