Job Title: Montessori Children’s House Lead Teacher (Ages 3–Kindergarten)
Reports To: Executive Director and Assistant Director
Terms of Employment: 2026–2027 Academic School Year
Closing Date: Open Until Filled
Salary: Per Board Approved New Hire Salary Guide
Benefits: Employee-Matched Arizona State Retirement System, Medical and Dental Insurance,

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field
2. Ability to obtain an Arizona fingerprint clearance card and complete a background check
Preferred Qualifications
1. Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or equivalent)
2. Experience teaching early childhood or multi-age classrooms
3. Experience with Montessori or Montessori-inspired learning environments

Flagstaff Junior Academy (FJA) is a Pre-K–8 tuition-free public charter school in Flagstaff, Arizona, serving about 400 students across two campuses in a close-knit, supportive community. Our elementary campus has 170 students in multi-age classrooms (K–5 capped at 24), while our middle school serves about 230 students in grades 6–8 with average class sizes of 15–25.
