Job Title: Upper Elementary Teacher (Grades 3-5) 
Reports To: Executive Director and Assistant Director
Terms of Employment: 2026–2027 Academic School Year
Closing Date: Open Until Filled
Salary: Per Board Approved New Hire Salary Guide
Benefits: Employee-Matched Arizona State Retirement System, Medical and Dental Insurance,
Paid Leave, Prop 301 Performance Pay, Early-Release Fridays, Professional Development Stipend, and Additional Base Pay for Hard-to-Fill Content Areas (math, special education, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Content Area, or Related Field
2. Ability to obtain an Arizona fingerprint clearance card and complete a background check

Preferred Qualifications
1. Master’s Degree in Education, Content Area, or Related Field
2. Arizona Teaching Certificate
3. Experience teaching in an elementary setting

About Flagstaff Junior Academy
Flagstaff Junior Academy (FJA) is a Pre-K–8 tuition-free public charter school in Flagstaff, Arizona, serving about 400 students across two campuses in a close-knit, supportive community. Our elementary campus has 170 students in multi-age classrooms (K–5 capped at 24), while our middle school serves about 230 students in grades 6–8 with average class sizes of 15–25. FJA focuses on the whole child through social-emotional learning, project-based and experiential education, and outdoor adventure—while fostering independence, curiosity, critical thinking, and community.
