Position Type:   Student Support Services/Social Worker

Location:   Valley High School

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master’s Degree in social work required

2. Arizona School Social Worker Certification required

3. Valid drivers license (and/or Commercial Driver’s License) required

4 .Experience working in a school setting preferred

5. Must be able to work well with staff, students, families, and community members

6. Computer literate preferred

7. Valid Arizona Department of Safety IVP Fingerprint card.

SUPERVISED BY:  Principal

SUPERVISES:  SUSD Students

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 

 Up to 11-month, as specified in approved contract

SALARY:

 Dependent upon experience, and based on the same schedule as Teachers on 

 Assignment/Instructional Coaches/Dean of Students/Counselors

JOB GOALS: 

 The duties and responsibilities of the School Social Worker will be to support the mission of Sanders Unified Schools with the goals of assisting students and families toward advocating for personal wellbeing, promoting social justice, and supporting academic growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 The School Social Worker is a grant-funded position that is designed to promote responsible citizenship, healthy life choices, academic success, and social justice for our middle school students and their families.

We have very affordable teacher housing rates: $237 per month up to $317 per month depending on whether or not you need a 1, 2, or 3 bedroom home.
