Job Description:

1.    Assist the Principal in providing leadership in meeting school improvement goals, plans and management of daily

        school functions

2.     Work with the principal in the role of instructional leader to meet the goals of the school.

3.     Assist in the selection and mentoring of staff.

4.     Supervise and evaluate certified and classified staff as assigned.     

5.     Assist in curriculum development to meet the needs of all students.

6.     Establishes programs and communication procedures to encourage committee participation, student

        organizations, community support and extra-curricular activities

7.     Assist in developing and maintaining a safe, orderly, attractive and welcoming school environment.      

8.     Assist in the development and administration of policies dealing with discipline, conduct, and   attendance and  

        communicate those policies and procedures to students, staff, and parents.

9.   Develop innovative strategies, preventative approaches, and proactive plans for students who exhibit at risk

         behaviors.

10.   Cooperate with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the juvenile court system, and social service agencies.

11.   Oversees the supervision of school activities I.e., dances, concerts, sports, orientation programs, plays, musicals,

         field trips, and other special events

12.   Assist in the care and management of the building and grounds, furniture, equipment, apparatus, books, and

         supplies

13.   Assist the Principal to ensure that students are meeting graduation requirements.

14.    Other job-related duties as assigned.
