Job Summary

The Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) Governing Board invites applications, nominations, and inquiries for the position of Chancellor.

As Arizona's leading provider of higher education, Maricopa Community Colleges is committed to offering affordable, high-quality college opportunities designed for the students and communities across the state—giving students unparalleled access to post-secondary education that creates immense value for themselves, their families, and for Arizona. MCCCD is the largest community college system in the nation with 10 individually accredited colleges and 31 satellite locations. The District serves more than 140,000 students annually and employs over 10,000 faculty and staff.

The Chancellor serves as the public face of MCCCD and must build partnerships, elevate the system's reputation, and generate new revenue streams. Strong financial and operational expertise will be essential to navigate budget pressures and funding uncertainty. The Chancellor must also be a visible, engaged, and inspiring leader who builds confidence among employees and deep relationships with community partners, business and industry leaders, and local, state, and national officials.

The Governing Board and stakeholders seek a seasoned, forward-thinking executive who leads with transparency and trust and advances a deeply student-centered vision. This leader will unify the District and strengthen organizational cohesion across a complex, multi-college system while positioning the District and its individual colleges to respond to evolving educational and community needs.
