Job Description:
Sentinel Elementary School District is seeking highly effective, student-centered Elementary Teachers (K–8) for the 2026–2027 school year.
Grade-level assignments will be based on district need and candidate strengths. Teachers may serve in primary (K–2), intermediate (3–5), or middle-grade (6–8) classrooms within our K–8 model.
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong instructional practices, consistent classroom management, and a commitment to ensuring all students reach grade-level mastery.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction
Implement research-based teaching strategies
Establish and maintain clear classroom routines and behavioral expectations
Use formative and summative assessment data to guide instruction
Differentiate instruction to support:
Students with disabilities
English Learners (EL)
Gifted and advanced learners
Provide targeted intervention and enrichment
Maintain accurate student records and progress documentation
Communicate regularly with families and guardians
Collaborate with colleagues in a small-school team environment
Participate in district professional learning and school improvement efforts
Required Qualifications
Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate (Elementary or appropriate K–8 certification)
Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Knowledge of Arizona College and Career Ready Standards
Demonstrated classroom management skills
Commitment to structured, high-expectation instruction
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in rural or small-school settings
Experience with data-driven instruction and intervention systems
Structured literacy training
Evidence-based math instructional experience
