JOB SUMMARY
Hope Academy is a career-preparedness high school in Tempe, Arizona, serving students who benefit from a smaller, relationship-driven, highly structured learning environment. MCRSD is seeking a strong school leader to serve as the Principal of Hope Academy. This role is ideal for an experienced Principal OR Assistant Principal who is ready to lead a campus with high expectations, clear systems, and a student-centered culture. The most important qualification is this: the successful candidate must have a genuine love for education, a heart for helping kids, and proven experience working closely with at-risk students in an alternative school environment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field
• Experience as a Principal OR Assistant Principal (or equivalent school leadership role)
• Proven experience working with at-risk students in an alternative school setting
• Ability to pass fingerprint clearance and background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree in education or related field
• Valid Arizona Principal Certificate (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience leading an alternative school, credit recovery program, or career-preparedness model
• Strong knowledge of graduation requirements, student support systems, and attendance intervention
• Experience supervising staff and building school systems
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
