Elementary School Teacher (Primary) for the 26/27 School Year
Location: Young Public School District
Position Type: Full-Time, $50,000 - $65,000 (based on current hiring schedule), 9 Month Contract
Position Summary:
The Teacher creates a positive and engaging learning environment that supports students’ academic and personal growth. This position plans and delivers instruction aligned with district curriculum, assesses student progress, and collaborates with staff and families to promote student success in accordance with Young Public School District policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver instruction aligned with curriculum and student needs
Assess student learning and adjust instruction using data
Maintain accurate records, including grades and attendance
Establish a safe, well-managed classroom environment
Use differentiated instruction and technology to enhance learning
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians
Collaborate with colleagues and specialists
Participate in team meetings and professional learning communities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of grade-level/subject-area content and learning theory
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyze student progress and implement instructional plans
Proficiency with educational technology
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Standard or Alternative Elementary, K-6 Arizona Teaching Certificate
