Tonto Basin Elementary School District Application Statement  
The Governing Board of Tonto Basin Elementary School, a traditional rural Elementary School District in central Arizona, is undertaking the employment of an educational leader. They are primarily seeking an experienced Superintendent who is fully certificated in Arizona. They will also consider, if needed, an experienced Principal who is certificated in Arizona and is working toward a Superintendent certificate. They will also consider, if needed, offering an untraditional option for non-administrative candidates who would like to be considered as the educational leader of the district. This Chief Academic Officer structure has been successful in many small districts. The applicant's background would likely require some type of degree and successful experience in a successful educational environment.  The Board is willing to consider a fully certificated Superintendent for an annual amount not to exceed $120,000, or a fully certificated Principal for up to $110,000, or a Chief Academic Officer for a maximum of $100,000.
