Position: Art/ Ceramics Teacher Tombstone High School

Job Information: Certified position, 10 month 

Compensation: Pay-DOE, sick leave, personal days, holidays, retirement, life and health insurance 

                  

 

      QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an AZ IVP fingerprint clearance 

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona Department of Education Teaching Certificate 

  • Ability to assume responsibility, exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality of 

materials and student information. 

  • Follows all Federal, State laws as well as district policy 

 

 

 

      Summary 

  • A public-school teacher plays a central role in shaping a students’ academic growth, social development, and lifelong learning habits. The position blends instruction, mentorship, communication and collaboratio9n in a fast paced, people-focused environment. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Work under plan and deliver instruction aligned with state standards and district curriculum. 

  • Create engaging lessons that support diverse learning styles and abilities. 

  • Assess student progress through assessments, quizzes, projects and observations. 

  • Provide feedback that helps students growth academically and behaviorally 

  • Manage the classroom environment to ensure safety, respect and productive learning 

  • Integrate technology to enhance learning and support student engagement 

  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and concerns 

  • Collaborate with staff on grade-level/subject level teams that also include professional development 

  • Uphold ethical and legal responsibilities related to student privacy, mandated reporting and district policies.  

  • Maintain accurate daily/period attendance each day
