Position: Art/ Ceramics Teacher Tombstone High School
Job Information: Certified position, 10 month
Compensation: Pay-DOE, sick leave, personal days, holidays, retirement, life and health insurance
QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be able to obtain and maintain an AZ IVP fingerprint clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona Department of Education Teaching Certificate
Ability to assume responsibility, exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality of
materials and student information.
Follows all Federal, State laws as well as district policy
Summary
A public-school teacher plays a central role in shaping a students’ academic growth, social development, and lifelong learning habits. The position blends instruction, mentorship, communication and collaboratio9n in a fast paced, people-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Work under plan and deliver instruction aligned with state standards and district curriculum.
Create engaging lessons that support diverse learning styles and abilities.
Assess student progress through assessments, quizzes, projects and observations.
Provide feedback that helps students growth academically and behaviorally
Manage the classroom environment to ensure safety, respect and productive learning
Integrate technology to enhance learning and support student engagement
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and concerns
Collaborate with staff on grade-level/subject level teams that also include professional development
Uphold ethical and legal responsibilities related to student privacy, mandated reporting and district policies.
Maintain accurate daily/period attendance each day
