ELL Coordinator / English Language Development (ELD) Teacher (K–12)

POSITION SUMMARY
Prescott Valley Charter School is seeking a highly skilled, mission-driven ELL Coordinator / ELD Teacher who believes that English Language Learners deserve excellent instruction, high expectations, and real access to opportunity.
This is a leadership role with real influence, not a clerical compliance position.
The ELL Coordinator / ELD Teacher will own and lead the K–12 ELL program, directly serve students, guide instructional practice, and drive reclassification outcomes for approximately 80 English Language Learners across grades K–12. You will have the autonomy to design services, the support to implement them, and the authority to make data-driven decisions that move students toward language proficiency and independence.

PROGRAM LEADERSHIP & COMPLIANCE
• Serve as the instructional and compliance lead for the K–12 ELL program
• Ensure alignment with ADE ELL policies, A.R.S., and Arizona ELP Standards
• Lead AZELLA testing, identification, reassessment, and parent notifications
• Maintain audit-ready records while using data to drive instruction
INSTRUCTION & SERVICE DELIVERY
• Design and manage a flexible schoolwide ELL service model
• Prioritize students closest to reclassification
• Provide direct ELD instruction across K–12
• Align instruction to Arizona ELP Standards with explicit language objectives
RECLASSIFICATION & STUDENT OUTCOMES
• Increase ELL reclassification rates
• Use AZELLA, Lexia, RAZ Foundations, and formative assessments
• Adjust instruction based on data
COLLABORATION & SUPPORT
• Coach and support teachers serving ELL students
• Collaborate with SPED teams for dually identified students
• Partner with administrators
FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
• Communicate clearly with ELL families
• Host an annual ELL Family Engagement Night
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
• Arizona Teaching Certificate
• ESL/SEI Endorsement
• AZELLA and ADE ELL knowledge
Preferred:
• ELL Coordinator experience
• Proven reclassification success
• Bilingual preferred
