JOB GOAL:

Ensure all systems and applications used in the district are efficient and provide the highest level of support to staff and student body
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Formal training in troubleshooting and repair of digital electronic devices, including computers and related hardware and systems. Minimum of ten (10) years of successful computer support service experience that includes installing, configuring, optimizing, and testing hardware and network systems; installing, configuring, and testing operating and applications software, performing diagnostic and troubleshooting duties with hardware and software.
  • Experience with Google Workspace is required. Experience with Microsoft Server 2016/2019 is required, and experience with Windows 10/11 is strongly recommended. Experience with phone systems such as Fortinet is also required.
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting and using MS productivity software required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, FrontPage, Access and Outlook).
  • Experience managing network servers and end-user accounts through Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Experience in technology project planning and implementation of medium to large-scale technology solutions
  • Strong skills in interpersonal relations and ability to maintain effective working relationships with a variety of school staff and students required.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license
  • Must pass a background clearance
  • Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

 

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 261 Days; 12 Months

REPORTS TO: Director of IT

EVALUATION: Initial evaluation to be completed no later than ninety (90) days after the first day of work; thereafter, annually by supervisor.

HOURS: 40 hours per week and may require longer hours - Monday-Friday

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  1. Manage Core Systems: SIS, HR/Finance, LMS, and system integrations.
  2. Implement system upgrades, new application rollouts, and cross-department initiatives.
  3. Responsible, and main point of contact, for all integration between programs and data with multiple vendors (Synergy, Google, Clever, Visions, Frontline, etc.)
  4. Handle system updates, troubleshooting, and support.
  5. Communicate to sites/departments on system updates; Streamline workflows for QCUSD systems
  6. Lead analysts and support team members
  7. Work a flexible schedule to accomplish the duties of the position.
  8. Work throughout all district sites efficiently.; Work with all staff to meet the technology needs within established district procedures.
  9. Respond in a timely manner to Directors, Executive Directors, and Cabinet members regarding systems integration, security provisioning items, and systems performance issues.; Prioritize repair and support needs, and to accomplish the work in a timely manner.
  10. Perform other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
