Starting Salary $48,000 (prorated for the remainder of the contracted school year)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate K–5 Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive, student-centered environment. The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide specialized instruction to students in grades K–5 in small-group and/or inclusion settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
• Monitor and document student progress toward academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
• Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with IDEA and district policies
• Foster a positive, supportive, and structured classroom environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field 
• Valid Arizona Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to inclusive practices and equity in education
