Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Film/TV and Digital Photography Teacher to join our team. This position is responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on instruction in film production, video editing, photography, and digital media while supporting students in building both creative and technical skills. The ideal candidate will inspire students through project-based learning and help prepare them for advanced coursework, portfolio development, and future careers in media arts.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Film/TV and Digital Photography courses aligned to school curriculum and standards
• Provide instruction in areas such as:
  • camera operation and composition
  • lighting and audio techniques
  • storyboarding and scriptwriting
  • video production and editing
  • digital photography techniques and editing
  • media literacy and production workflow
• Develop meaningful, project-based assignments that build student skills and creativity
• Manage equipment use, inventory, and classroom studio procedures
• Maintain a safe, structured classroom environment with clear expectations
• Assess student work and provide regular feedback and grades in a timely manner
• Collaborate with Fine Arts/CTE staff and participate in department meetings and school events
• Support student growth through creative showcases, exhibitions, or performances (as applicable)
