Job Description:

SUMMARY
Assists teachers in performing various classroom teaching tasks and responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Speak, read and write in English.
One year of experience working with youth
Successful completion of the TUSD Bilingual (English/Spanish) Exam
High School Diploma or G.E.D
Completion of an AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test OR Associate’s (or higher) degree OR Two-years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of post high school general education studies.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Copy of diploma, transcripts or test results must be submitted upon hire.
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

COMMENTS 

Salary:$17.49 to $20.31 Per Hour
Effective: 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR 
Location: Davis Bilingual Magnet Elementary School - 6th Ave & Main Area 

Classification: White Collar

FTE: 0.75 – 6 hours per day 
Work Calendar: 9 month

BILINGUAL TESTING INFORMATION:

The Bilingual Proficiency Exam (Spanish/English) is offered once a month during the school year at one of our district locations.

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
