SUMMARY
Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity.
Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Arizona Elementary Certificate with Physical Education K-12 Endorsement

OR

• Arizona Secondary Certificate with Physical Education Approved Area OR Physical Education K-12 Endorsement

OR 

• Arizona Physical Education Certificate PreK-12

OR

• Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 in Physical Education 

OR 

• Arizona Special Education Certificate with Physical Education K-12 Endorsement
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
• Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

High School Physical Education Teacher Salary range $47,400 to $54,900/year

Effective: 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

LOCATION: Rincon High School - 5th St & Swan Area

FTE : 1.0 - 7.5 hours per day

Work Calendar: 9.5 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. 

This position will start ON or AFTER 01/05/2026

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
