  JOB GOAL: 
The Child Nutrition delivery driver is to deliver food products and equipment to the schools in an efficient and friendly manner following safe and sanitary procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ability to adequately speak, read, and write English
  2. Valid Arizona driver’s license and three years citation free driving record
  3. Ability to maintain accurate records
  4. Excellent physical condition; ability to push, pull and lift up to and including 100 pounds, bend, stoop, climb, and reach
  5. Ability to work under hot and cold climate conditions
  6. Knowledge of HACCP and workplace safety requirements
  7. Ability to work with figures and to make arithmetic calculations
  8. Excellent customer service skills
  9. High School diploma or GED preferred
  10. Knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations, and rules
  11. Must obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card


TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:  188 days; 9 months
REPORTS TO:  Director of Child Nutrition
HOURS:  25 hours per week - Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-12 p.m.
CLASSIFICATION:  Hourly, Non-exempt   
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  1. Establish and maintain good rapport with district employees and public
  2. Conduct vehicle inspections on a daily basis to ensure it is safe, clean and operating properly and in compliance with ADOT regulations
  3. Knowledge of basic math skills
  4. Perform district wide pick-ups and deliveries
  5. Load and unload delivery truck(s)
  6. Processes shipments by checking packing lists and purchase orders; calls vendors on discrepancies
  7. May perform central mail duties and work in peripheral areas as required
  8. Assist in monthly inventory count
  9. Stock shelves and pull/pack stock orders
  10. Perform all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed; Perform other duties as assigned
