Project Technical Specialist with TUSD Bond Program

SUMMARY

Implements the activities and functions of a designated project with specific knowledge in assigned functional area. This position ensures that the goals and objectives for the Bond Program are accomplished in accordance with program specifications.The Bond Department oversees the planning, execution, and monitoring of bonds with a commitment to excellence, accountability, transparency, customer service, and collaboration. Reporting to the Bond Program Manager, the Project Technical Specialist, will play a vital role in entering requisitions in the financial system, invoicing, and managing projects from start to finish using project management tools such as Smartsheet.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in project related area

AND

  • One year of experience in project related area.

OR

  • Five years of experience in a project related area

WITH

  • Word Processing/Database/Spreadsheet Program Knowledge
  • Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
  • May be additional requirements depending on functional area assigned.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of and experience using the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) standards
  • Completion of one Project Management course
  • Experience using project management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet
  • Experience in creating agendas, minutes, and action items

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

  • FBI fingerprint background check.
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

  • Effective: 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
  • Location: Campbell and Broadway area
  • Classification: Supervisory/Professional
  • FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day
  • Work Calendar: 12 month
  • Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
