Job Description:

Transportation Facilities Manager

SUMMARY

Supervises the Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) student transportation system operations and associated management and personnel functions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Management, Public Administration Logistics and Material Management, or related Field 

OR 

• 8 years of progressively responsible experience in school bus transportation, transportation, logistics, or a related field 

AND

• Three years of supervisory experience to include Employee Relations, Payroll, Recruitment, Accounting and Human Resources.
• Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet programs.
• Experience in contract administration. 
• Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working collaboratively in partnership with various labor unions and collective bargaining agreements. 
• Experience with automated routing systems.
• Experience managing over 100 employees in all facets.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

• FBI fingerprint background check              
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s license 
• MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees. 
• Must submit to a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.

• Salary Range: $59,934.40 to $69,593 Per Year
• Effective: 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR 
• Location: Transportation - Kino & Broadway Area
• Classification: Supervisory/Professional   
• FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day 
• Work Calendar: 12 month  
• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
