Job Description:

Serves as the Creighton School District technical subject matter expert and establishes process as it relates to the operation and maintenance of all electronic and related safety/security systems.  Train, plan, document, coordinate, and implement procedures relating to systems implementation, maintenance, and end-user application. Ensure the District’s life safety and security systems are functioning properly and maintained in a cost-effective manner by ensuring that regular preventive maintenance and repairs are performed. Instrumental in developing and implementing best practices through industry systems and processes/procedures.

• Manage preventative maintenance and reactive repair to access control, public address, clocks & bells, alarm, telephonic communications, fire, and life safety & security systems. 
• Subject to call outs during evenings, weekends, and holidays if emergency repairs are needed.
• Configures, installs, and monitors network infrastructure hardware and related software.
• Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to safety systems, network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
• Manage work assignments and supervises security integrators and personnel who install, program, maintain, inventory, and repair all security/surveillance system equipment specifically including security access control systems, alarm systems, emergency phone/intercom system, panic alarms, CCTV security system and associated hardware/software, security data communication equipment, and electronic key system. 
• Oversee, organize, and maintain critical and confidential physical security related records, inspection documents, service reports, and purchase orders  
• Manage and monitor, services, programs, preventative maintenance, and provide technical support, and assist with the installation of new/upgrades with Access Control, Public Address, Clocks & Bells, and Life Safety & Security System equipment on a scheduled basis. 
• Develop formal preventative maintenance programs for all electronic systems, implement recurring maintenance schedules, provide oversight to assure that completed maintenance meets minimum standards for quality and follow up on delinquent actions.  
• Oversee outstanding open work orders, material requests and work completion by contractors. 
• Oversee training sessions on the use of Life Safety & Security Systems equipment and services. 
• Coordinate and implement district procedures and guidelines and ensures that they are followed. 
• Work to improve the Safety and Security of the system through improved practices and/or improved technologies.
