Salary Range:

$60,000.00 - $69,500.00 USD annually.

The IT Network Engineer provides technical support for the school network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity, server operations, and user access across all campuses. This position plays a key role in maintaining stable, secure, and efficient network systems to support teaching, learning, and administrative operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. 
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive IT experience, including networking and infrastructure support.
  • 3+ years of experience delivering excellent customer service.
  • Experience configuring/maintaining enterprise-grade firewalls (e.g., Cisco Umbrella, Linewize), switches, and wireless systems.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, CIPA/FERPA compliance, and basic IAM principles.
  • Experience supporting Zoom Meetings and Zoom Phone configuration and deployment.
  • Active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and manage LAN/WAN performance across all campuses, including switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls.
  • Support DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and subnetting for internal and external connectivity.
  • Proactively monitor network health and troubleshoot  network connectivity and performance issues
  • Support content filtering tools (e.g., Cisco Umbrella, Linewize) and ensure compliance with CIPA, FERPA, and cybersecurity policies.
  • Participate in internal security assessments, patching cycles, and vendor coordination for audits or penetration tests.
  • Manage the setup, configuration, and administration of Zoom Meetings and Zoom Phone systems for staff and school sites.
  • Maintain call routing, auto attendants, voicemail policies, and licensing for Zoom Phone.
  • Assist with the setup and support of classroom technologies such as smart boards, document cameras, projectors, and printers.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for network topology, configuration changes, asset inventory, and licensing.
  • Participate in IT planning sessions to align infrastructure decisions with instructional and organizational needs.
  • Coordinate with service providers and vendors including Arizona State University Enterprise Technology for repairs, installations, and upgrades.
  • Additional duties will be assigned as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for complex network and VoIP issues.
  • Experience with firewalls, endpoint security tools, and internet content filters.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, especially in high-stakes or customer-facing scenarios.
  • Strong organizational skills and a solution-focused attitude.
  • Knowledge of information systems and tools, such as Active Directory, Microsoft Windows OS, Apple Mac OS.
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Effective written and oral communication.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Edtech is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with common e-learning tools and platforms is a plus.

Travel required to all sites, meetings, trainings and/or conferences and occasional overnight travel may be required..
