CLASSIFICATION:     OFFICE                                                                                                                 

TITLE:                         FINANCIAL REPORTING SPECIALIST

CALENDAR:                 2611

SALARY:                      SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL - GRADE 121

 

Job Goal:

To ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting by optimizing processes, managing transactions and improving reporting for the department.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred
  • Minimum of two years directly related experience
  • Budgeting, forecasting financial cost control planning, analysis and monthly reporting
  • Ability to demonstrate managing in a diverse environment with focus on customer service
  • Ability to operate standard office equiment including computer and related software
  • Familiarity with software - Google, Microsoft, iVisions, Eleyo and Facilitron
  • Ability to obtain valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Core Job Functions

 

  • Maintains and refines the Community Education department accounting and financial systems.
  • Prepares monthly and annual financial reports for all aspects of CE operations.
  • Supervises all collections of monies and ensures all are appropriately deposited and reported. 
  • Balances or ensures the balance of all CE financial accounting records.
  • Assists Director with oversight of Facilities Account Technician.
  • Directs and participates in the preparatoin of financial reports to Governing Board as requested.
  • Coordinates and monitors credit card transactions.
  • Prepares financial worksheets and supporting documentation.
  • Initiates and manages cash payments through ELEYO software.
  • Compile data and information for report presentations.
  • Initiate, submit, and monitor department purchase oders.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by CFO, CE Director and Business Services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
