Job Description:

Tempe Preparatory Academy – Tempe, Arizona

Tempe Preparatory Academy, a nationally recognized 6th–12th grade liberal arts charter school, is now accepting applications for a 3/4-time, 8th-grade Science Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year. Our curriculum emphasizes classical education, the Great Books, and the Socratic Method, and we are seeking an inspiring educator to lead students through a rigorous and engaging course in Earth and Space Science.

About the Role:

The 8th-grade Earth & Space Science course introduces students to foundational concepts in geology, meteorology, astronomy, and environmental science. Students explore the structure of the Earth, natural phenomena such as earthquakes and volcanoes, weather systems, the solar system, and the broader universe, all while applying the scientific method and strengthening critical thinking skills. This course serves as an essential bridge to high school-level sciences and promotes curiosity about the natural world.
